Harrods Baby Event

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch of Harrods' new Baby Layette, Nursery Furniture and Prams Department. The space is located in Childrenswear on the fourth floor and is the ultimate destination for baby gifts and accessories.

As I walked into this morning event, I was immediately offered my choice of juices or herbal teas.

I choose a Harrods special blend. There were plenty of breakfast canapés going around, but they were getting snapped up quickly by pregnant ladies, faster than i could picture them!

I walked around chatting, and of course bumped into other mummy bloggers and instamums that I know well! Here's me with Tara of fromwheremummystands looking glowing in her second trimester! I'm still looking a bit fluffy, a mere 5 weeks after childbirth, but the weight is coming off, and that's what counts! We're both mums of boys, so there was plenty to chat about!

There were wonderful demonstrations such as swaddling and baby bathing throughout the morning.

There were also plenty of products on offer, to take home and try. These organic baby pouches look very appetising for your little one with their beautiful design.

Harrods have also put in new changing facilities, and I must say that I was 'wowed'.

There are four luxurious changing/feeding rooms, that are immaculate and a very relaxing looking place to change your little one. That chair in the reflection is a lovely upholstered feeding chair for private feeding, or just to relax in private to calm down a fractious baby. there are also separate large toilet cubicles. Big enough to fit your buggy in, but also very hygienic to keep separate from the feeding rooms.

The event was wonderful and informative, but the highlight at a Harrods event is always the generous goody bag.

Here is mine, opened up at home to display the contents:

Miki house mini muslins, an aden+anais swaddle muslin, a matchstick monkey teether, little white company penguin, petit bateau long sleeve baby vest, dunelm candle, savse baby food pouches, cybex trolley coin keyring, children's colouring book from tartine et chocolate, chocolates from Hotel Chocolat, and a pink leather changing mat from enfant terrible, who make sleepyhead.

This picture really does not do the change mat justice, it really could be used as a clutch bag, it's very elegant.

I must say that I am in Harrods at least a couple of times a week anyway, (it is my favourite store), but I am glad that since having another baby, I can continue going, knowing there are such beautiful changing facilities!

*Harrods invited me as a VIP guest to this event. All opinions my own.
